"Una storia chiamata Gomorra" is a documentary produced by Brandon Box in collaboration with Sky and Beta Film.
An exciting journey in 4 episodes to discover the cult series. Directed by Marco Pianigiani, written by Federico Chiarini and Alessia Colombo and produced by Brandon Box for Cattleya in collaboration with Sky and Beta Film, "Una storia chiamata Gomorra - La serire" describes the genesis and development of one of the most successful Italian cultural products in the world. Composed of four episodes on air on Sky Atlantic and now streaming on NOW TV, the docu-series tells Gomorra through the voices of those who created and lived it, from Roberto Saviano's first idea to the last days of the set. The complex phase of writing the script, the challenge of shooting in locations that are now iconic but at first almost inaccessible, the phenomenon of costume that surrounds the series, the international success and the emotion and memories of those who participated in this adventure. An exciting journey accompanied by four exceptional storytellers: the creator Roberto Saviano, the director who was entrusted with the transposition of Gomorra during the first seasons, Stefano Sollima, Ivana Lotito and Salvatore Esposito, the couple Avitabile-Savastano. Everyone brought their own testimony in the story of a project that has created indissoluble bonds, as the protagonist Salvatore Esposito recounts: "Once the academy was over, an opportunity came: to participate in auditions, not as an actor but as a shoulder, giving the jokes to the actors who came to the audition. The project was called "Gomorra - The Series": at the beginning, I thought it could be a great opportunity to improve. To see now, after five seasons in Gomorra, what happened ... it was much, much more ".
