The first cartoon series produced by Brandon Box is on air on Amazon Prime Video!
Brandon box signs the cartoon series “Lupo racconta la SMA” together with Biogen and Famiglie SMA. Six episodes to tell young and old about Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).
The 6 episodes see the exclusive participation of Fabio Volo, Luca Ward, Francesco Pannofino, La Pina and the Trio Medusa, who lend their voices to the forest animals protagonists of the series. Based on the book of fairy tales by Jacopo Casiraghi and illustrated by Samuele Gaudio, the cartoon series was created with the aim of responding - through the animation format - to many of the questions and reflections of those who live with SMA, telling the difficulties experienced in everyday life and highlighting the many points in common with the reality of all the families who everyday face joys and obstacles together, supported by the strength of the bonds that unite them.
The use of the fairy tale, of the fantastic, to tell the everyday life of those suffering from SMA allows the public to develop a different reading of the disease and to identify with the characters, helping anyone who listens to these stories to recognize themselves in the voices narrated. In addition, the modern language and the immediacy of the images facilitate the involvement of younger viewers, with whom it is often difficult to talk about such complex and delicate topics. "Giving shape and life to the characters of "Lupo Racconta la SMA" was an important challenge, - comments Andrea Sgaravatti, Brandon Box Executive Producer - "Lupo, Tordo and all their friends speak to a multiplicity of viewers and, through the cartoon, we had the opportunity to convey deep messages with joy and colors. Furthermore, the voices lent by high-level voice actors, such as Fabio Volo, Luca Ward, Francesco Pannofino, La Pina and the Trio Medusa, allowed us to obtain a world rich in nuances and feelings." Fabio Volo says: "Participating in this project was great, I am truly flattered to have been part of the initiative. Being the voice of the Thrush gave me the opportunity to tell the story of a 'different' family, showing the many points in common with the reality of all the families who daily face together difficulties and problems, small and large, supported by strength. of their ties ". The same point of view of Francesco Pannofino, the Owl's voice: "Telling a fairy tale is always beautiful, doing it for 'Lupo racconta la SMA' was even more interesting because these stories are universal and can help, with delicacy and lightness, children, teens, adults and families living with the disease. I'm impressed by the strength and determination of the protagonists who, episode after episode, will lead the viewer to a special world! " "It was beautiful and exciting to give voice to the three Carp brothers of 'Lupo racconta la SMA'. Every day on the radio we give voice to many stories, but this one has involved us in a particular way because it has given us the opportunity to reflect on a world, that of Spinal Muscular Atrophy, which every day tests those who live with it between reaching your limits, but don't go beyond them ”comments the Trio Medusa. "I really hope that this cartoon can reach as many people as possible: adults, teenagers, children because it truly treats a world full of nuances, feelings, fears, hopes, falls and successes in a delicate and at the same time realistic way" - he concludes La Pina.
The series "Lupo racconta la SMA" immediately received the full support and patronage, as well as the SMA community, also by the Association for the Study of Infantile Spinal Muscular Dystrophies (ASAMSI), the Italian Association of Myology (AIM), the Italian Union for the fight against muscular dystrophy (UILDM) and the National Council of Psychologists (CNOP).
